More than a quick lube
Quick-lube places are built for speed. We are built to fix cars, and that changes what happens during an oil change. While your car is on the lift, a mechanic is looking at it, not just draining and filling.
That means we spot the things that turn into big repairs if nobody notices: a leaking gasket, a cracked belt, a soft hose, brake pads getting thin. You hear about it early, with a plain explanation of what needs doing now and what can wait. You also do not need to take your car to one place for oil and another for repairs.
What every oil change includes
- The oil type and grade your manufacturer calls for, conventional, blend or full synthetic
- A new oil filter that fits your engine
- A check and top-off of the other fluids
- A look at brakes, belts, hoses, suspension parts and anything leaking
- A reset of your maintenance reminder, where your car has one
Diesel trucks, European cars and many newer engines need oil that meets a specific factory spec. Using the wrong one can affect engine life and your warranty, so we match the oil to your vehicle, not to whatever is on the shelf.
How often should you change your oil
Start with your owner’s manual or the oil life monitor. Many newer cars can go longer between changes than the old 3,000-mile rule, but the manual usually lists a shorter severe-service schedule too. A lot of local driving fits that description: short trips, stop-and-go traffic on Hwy 522 and I-405, cold damp mornings, hills, and pulling a trailer.
If you drive mostly short hops around Woodinville, or your truck pulls a trailer or a boat, plan on the shorter interval. Not sure which applies to you? Ask us. We look at how you actually drive and give you a straight answer.

Signs you are overdue
An oil change is easy to put off, but a few signs mean it should not wait. If the oil pressure light comes on, stop and check the level right away.
Oil that looks dark and gritty on the dipstick, a ticking or tapping sound from the engine, or a burning oil smell are all reasons to come in soon. Spots under the car point to a leak, and running low on oil is how small problems turn into engine repair.
Oil changes, factory maintenance and your warranty
You do not have to go to the dealership to keep a new car’s factory warranty in place. We do the oil changes and the full 30K, 60K and 90K scheduled maintenance with the correct parts and fluids, and we keep a record of the work, for less than the dealership.
What affects the cost of an oil change is mostly the oil itself. Full synthetic and special-spec oils cost more than conventional, and trucks and diesels hold a lot more oil than a small car. Running a few company vehicles? Our fleet service for local businesses keeps them on schedule.
